How long can you expect Juvederm results to last when you receive injections from HealthyLooks?
This is a popular product because it’s an efficient way to enjoy fuller and more beautiful lips. Many of our younger clients seek this treatment to correct imperfections and to thwart various signs of aging.
What Affects the Longevity of Juvederm Results?
Juvederm’s durability depends on how much facial movement you have. More movement around your face will cause it to break down beneath the skin faster. This happens a lot with the muscles that comprise the nasolabial crease, an area of your face that moves when you smile or move your face other ways.
Facial movement breaks down the molecules in Juvederm, known as Hyaluronic Acid (HA), leading to a gradual depletion. Compared to other toxins, this version maintains its volume rather well, only trailing off after several months. Most patients would replenish Juvederm fillers about every eight months or so.
Many of the same patients also receive Botox from HealthyLooks. Usually, the most prudent way to do this is for them to redo Juvederm about every other time you receive Botox. As a rule of thumb, most patients lose a cubic centimeter of facial volume each year, which can help you gauge how often you’d need a fresh supply.
Overall, Juvederm is a terrific product that allows us to inject enough to achieve that perfect lip plumpness. We consider it the most reliable product we administer for fuller lips.
Juvederm: One of the First Effective Lip Fillers
Juvederm is from the first generation of fillers, made by the company, Allergan. It has a comparably small particle size, doesn’t cross-link that much, and the body tolerates it very well. Patients regard Juvederm as one of the softest lip fillers, a go-to item for anyone in search of plump, youthful, and kissable lips.
Juvederm has a long and reliable duration. Therefore, you don’t have to get new doses all the time. Thanks to its chemical composition, it’s easy to inject (with very minimal discomfort) with a nerve block or ice-chill pack.
More Information on Lip Fillers
Many of our clients have other questions about lip fillers whenever they visit us for a consultation. That’s understandable, especially if you’ve never undergone an injection treatment previously.
Here are some FAQs that address common concerns and dispel myths/confusion:
- What’s the Typical Duration for Lip Fillers? It depends on your selection preferences along with the targeted area of the face. Given the movement problems we mentioned, injections around the mouth may last about 1 to 1.5 years. We can, however, apply fillers near cheek bones for a duration of 2 to 2.5 years.
- Does this Treatment Hurt? It shouldn’t hurt if you receive lip fillers from a trained injector who knows how to apply measures to numb the face during the treatment. This normally involves dental blocks, nerve blocks, ice packs, and other minor interventions.
- What are Some Other Lip Filler Brands? There are several other products from the Allergan company: Volbella, Vollure and Voluma. Galderma makes fillers such as Restylane, Dyfyne, Refyne, Sylk, Kryss, Lyft, and Sculptra. HealthyLooks also uses injectables like Revanesse, Versa, and Radiesse.
