Who are the best candidates for receiving the lucrative Kybella treatment?
The injectable products we offer have specific purposes for folks with certain cosmetic objectives. Whether it’s Kybella, Botox, Juvederm, lip fillers, or anything else, the selection depends on which problems you endeavor to fix. This article will explain the appropriate way to use Kybella for prompt and optimal results.
Kybella: An Effective Solution for Stubborn, “Pinchable” Fat
The best candidates for Kybella are those who seek to address superficial fat around the face. This does NOT involve the thicker/tougher fat underneath the chin, near the platysma. Superficial fat is the pinchable kind, and much more amenable to Kybella.
This is the fat along the jawline, which we can target with effective injectables. You can see from some of our before and after photos, how Kybella, one of the most effective of those injectables, can make your face thinner and firmer.
We rarely recommend reducing fat above the jawline around the face. When a patient has trouble with prominent buckled fat pads, there may be better ways to assist them surgically. There are some things that are suitable for Kybella, whereas other problems benefit more from alternative methods.
Kybella Treatment – Results & How it Works
How long does it take Kybella to work against pinchable fat?
You should notice results between a month and six weeks of the procedure. During the interim, your jawline may experience some swelling, but that should subside within about two or three weeks.
By the six-week mark, we like to review the results and plot a course for second or third follow-up sessions. Sometimes, we can accomplish everything within a single visit, however.
How does Kybella work to reduce fat cells?
There’s a naturally occurring chemical in Kybella (deoxycholic acid), which is also present in our biliary tract, responsible for digesting fat. So, in essence, we use Kybella to leverage that effective digestive chemical to break down unwanted subcutaneous fat around your chin. That’s what we’re injecting.
This usually does one of two things: 1) The fat cells die (through apoptosis), or 2) Those cells survive but contribute in less fat development. At either rate, Kybella has an outstanding track record of substantially countering all that loose and unsightly fat. This also doesn’t require any painful or invasive techniques.
Other Ways to Address Unwanted Fat
HealthyLooks also has ways to deal with fat, not only around your face, but everywhere else around your body. If you’re in good shape, but wish to eliminate those last vestiges of fat in troublesome areas, then you may be a good candidate for Coolsculpting with us.
Coolsculpting is a non-surgical way to freeze the same kind of superficial fat, often found along the abdomen, lats, and love handles. Like Kybella, this works well as a fine-tuning measure when you’re at your target weight (not a miracle cure for obesity). This procedure works effectively enough to eliminate 20-25% of fat cells in a specific area.
The suitability for this procedure, like everything we offer, depends on which areas around your body you would like to improve.
