How does the HydraFacial work?
The HydraFacial MD® is a 3-step non-invasive facial that uses a patented technology to cleanse, extract and hydrate the skin. When you first come in for your HydraFacial, your esthetician will cleanse your skin (so it is okay if you come with makeup on.) After cleansing, we will dermaplane your skin, which is a great exfoliation treatment in which your esthetician uses a small blade to gently scrape the surface of the skin. Dermaplaning removes all the dead skin cells that are sitting on the surface of the skin, and as an added bonus, it also removes peach fuzz. By dermaplaning before the treatment, we are allowing your skin to get the maximum benefits from the nourishing serums included in the HydraFacial treatment.
Once your skin is cleansed and dermaplaned, your esthetician will begin the HydraFacial treatment. The first step is cleansing out the pores using the suction from the HydraFacial wand while simultaneously infusing the pores with different beneficial serums. Next, your esthetician will apply a light chemical peel that helps to speed up the cell turnover rate to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone and texture, and shrink pores. Don’t worry, your skin won’t actually peel from this. Lastly, your skin will be infused with Hyaluronic Acid and a blend of antioxidants and peptides to visually hydrate, brighten and plump the skin!
Boosters can also be incorporated into your HydraFacial to further customize the treatment to fit your skincare needs. There are boosters for just about any skin concern, such as fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots, redness, etc.
This treatment is a great choice for clients who are starting to see complexion issues but are not ready to do more advanced treatments like lasers and more intense chemical peels. The HydraFacial is also great for maintenance in between your more advanced treatments. After your HydraFacial, you will leave with beautiful glowing skin. We always recommend coming in once a month for best results, but if that is not possible than once a quarter is great too.
