Fillers are injected to restore shape, add volume, and improve skin’s contour. You may have heard of the Juvederm, Restylane, and Sculptra fillers, but there’s also a newer filler, called Versa.
What is Versa?
Revanesse Versa, or “Versa” for short, is a dermal filler, most commonly injected in the lips, nasolabial folds, and cheeks. Like most fillers, its main active ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the body. While most fillers are made of HA, they don’t all inject the same. It stands out because its particles are all exactly the same size and perfectly spherical. There is a nice balance of volume and smoothness, and the filler rarely feels “bumpy.”
How Long does it Last?
Versa results are seen immediately and will last an average of 1 year. We recommend a 9-month follow up appointment to see how the filler is dissolving.
Does it Cause Swelling?
All fillers cause minimal bruising and swelling, however, in a clinical trial, Versa patients experienced 50% less swelling than another comparative filler.
Who Injects Versa?
If you are interested in adding subtle volume to your lips, we recommend our nurse injector, Dominique Cardello, who specializes in lip filler. If you are interested in filling wrinkles or creases around the mouth, we recommend Dr. Lamb, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and published author. Both our injectors will begin by taking your 3D pictures and discussing all cosmetic options before injecting. Call 816-795-5262 to schedule a consultation!
